Changelog

Two kinds of change are recorded: catalogue snapshots (the data moved) and releases (the site moved). Kept separate on purpose — a rebuild that only refreshes data is not a product change, and a product change is not evidence that the data is fresh.

The hash changes only when the record set changes, which makes it usable as a “did anything actually move?” check between builds.

Releases

  1. 2026.09 2026-09-18

    Server-rendered catalogue, canonical topics and a content gate

    • The catalogue is now rendered into static HTML at build time. Previously every entry page required client-side JavaScript, so the entries were invisible to crawlers that do not execute it.
    • Introduced a sitemap index with per-type shards covering topic pages and entry pages, replacing a three-URL hand-written sitemap.
    • Consolidated the source taxonomy into canonical topics, so duplicate category strings no longer compete as separate page titles.
    • Added a content gate: records below the threshold get no page of their own and stay out of the sitemap, but remain in the topic listings as direct links to their documentation.
    • Added the methodology, statistics, editorial policy and changelog pages, and published the catalogue’s actual completeness figures.
    • Replaced the default platform 404 with a page that offers real navigation.
    • Removed the conflicting hand-written sitemap and narrowed the robots.txt API disallow so it no longer covers HTML routes.

Corrections to published claims

2026-09-18

The catalogue described itself as “hand-curated” while an FAQ answer on the same page said the data was “collected automatically”. The data is compiled automatically from public registries; the “hand-curated” claim was removed everywhere it appeared. Related copy stating the record count three different ways (“9,990+”, “10,149”, “10,161”) was replaced with counts read from the build snapshot.
