About API Atlas

API Atlas is a searchable directory of free APIs and Model Context Protocol servers. It exists for one job: when you need a service that does a specific thing, you should be able to find it, see what it requires, and reach its documentation in one page — without opening twelve browser tabs.

Who runs it

The catalogue is operated by Zordon Intelligence sp. z o.o., based in Łódź, PL. It is a free, openly accessible reference; there is no paid tier, no sponsored placement, and no record is ranked by payment.

Corrections, removal requests and source suggestions go to hi@zordonintelligence.pl. Because the catalogue is compiled from upstream registries, most factual corrections are fixed by fixing the source — but tell us either way and we will follow it through.

What is in the catalogue

10,161 records at the current snapshot: 4,352 free APIs and 5,809 MCP servers, grouped into 53 canonical topics. Entries are aggregated from public registries, then normalised — sanitised descriptions, consolidated categories, a consistent record schema and a stated quality threshold.

What this site does not claim

• — Not curated by hand. Records are compiled automatically from the sources above. Descriptions are sanitised, never rewritten: a description we invent about someone else's software cannot be verified by you.
• — Not a ranking. Order within a topic is by content quality and then alphabetically. The source registries do not publish a genuine popularity signal, so any “most popular” ordering would be fabricated.
• — Not a guarantee. Null fields and “authentication unknown” mean the source did not state a value. Verify against each record's own documentation before you depend on it.

Editorial responsibility

Pages that make claims rather than list records — the methodology, the topic overviews, the comparison pages — follow the standards on the editorial policy page: stated provenance, no unmeasured performance claims, and corrections applied rather than quietly deleted.
